SUPERVIVE

This game is not yet released and not all details are known.

Microtransactions in SUPERVIVE are summarized as...

This game is currently in an early testing period and as such not all details are known. You can't make any real money purchases yet, premium currencies are given to players for free during the test periods. However, the developers have stated that the current shop and pricing is similar to what it will be once the game enters the open beta period, which will open up real money purchases.

The game is free-to-play with a premium currency used to purchase cosmetics. Cosmetics can be acquired in two ways; either through the premium shop, or through the various battle passes.

The premium shop offers items on a timed rotation, with only a handful of items being available for purchase at a time. The exact rotation time is not known, but it looks to be daily. In the shop you can purchase various cosmetics such as character skins, emotes, profile customization, and more.

Character skins can be "upgraded" with a special currency called "Vive Points". These will be primarily earned through the premium battle pass, but the developers have stated they may be earn-able through other means at a later date. Upgrading a skin allows you to pick a different variant of the skin. This might include different color palettes or different detailing. Once you have unlocked all variants you can purchase a "Luxe Edition" of the skin. This is an additional purchase that requires both "Vive Points" as well as the regular premium currency. This version of the skin is a more elaborate variant of the skin. So in order to obtain this version of the skin you need to purchase the original skin (with the premium currency), purchase multiple variants (through premium battle pass currency), and only then can you purchase the final variant (using yet more paid currency of both types).

The game offers a seasonal battle pass, granting various rewards as you level up. The alpha currently offers a free battle pass with no premium track, as no premium purchases exist yet. As such there isn't enough known about the battle pass to evaluate it's model.

Only a handful of playable characters are unlocked from the start. The rest can be unlocked through tokens. These tokens are currently earned for free through the battle pass, although it is not clear if this will continue to be the case. A token can be used to unlock any of the characters, with none costing more than another. It is not known if there will be paid options to purchase additional characters.
