Palia
Microtransactions in Palia are summarized as...
Palia is free-to-play with a Premium Store. This store is the only monetization the game has. To purchase items in the store you need to purchase a Premium Currency called "Palia Coins". These coins can be bought in one of 5 bundles where 10 USD equals roughly 1000 Palia Coins.
The store offers many types of items, but all are cosmetic only, with no pay-to-win or pay-for-convenience items. This includes outfits, tool skins, emotes, landscape, pets, and more. Most items can be bought individually. Some can optionally be bought in bundles where the bundle price is significantly lower than the items would be all separate. Purchasing a single item will discount the rest of the bundle were you to purchase the bundle at a later time.
Some items are available for limited time discounts but can also be purchased (without discount) outside of that time window.
Unlike games with similar monetization models, the sizes of bundles do accurately match the prices of shop items, with some exceptions. Currency bundles come in sizes of 425, 850, 1700, 3400, 5100, and 11050 Palia Coins. However, some items might require the purchase of 2 bundles to get an exact price match. Smaller cosmetic items tend to cost 425 or 850, larger items are between 1700 or 2550 (matching the bundle size of purchasing 850 and 1700 Palia Coins), pets cost 1275 (matching the 425 and 850 bundle sizes). Exceptions tend to happen to limited time discounts, which are often between the cost of bundle sizes. However, the discounts do often, but not always, bring the price from one bundle size down to another.
Palia offers a large amount of cosmetic only items that are only available to purchase via a Premium Currency, but this currency is sized more fair compared to games with similar models.
