Fortnite

Microtransactions in Fortnite are summarized as...

Fortnite has popularised a lot of system we're seen in other games. Daily/weekly rotating shops, limited time items, overpriced skins, and of course battle passes.

Fortnite frequently holds events for non-related companies. From movie promotions to music concerts. While these events are definitely cool, they are also advertisements at their core.

Fortnite offers an optional subscription fee which offers exclusive cosmetics rewards and premium currencies on a monthly basis, and the battle pass for that season.
