Arena Breakout: Infinite

This game is not yet released and not all details are known.

Microtransactions in Arena Breakout: Infinite are summarized as...

The game features no cosmetics, instead all items have a functional purpose. The main purpose of the game is to go in a map, collect as much loot as possible, and extract with that loot. This loot can then be used for the next missions or it can be sold on a market place. This is all done via an in-game currency called "Koen". This currency can be used to purchase anything. From household items to guns and other equipment. The goal is to get better and better loot over time. However, the in-game currency can be bought with a premium currency, bypassing this progression.

The premium currency named "Bond". Bond can be purchased in bundles where 1000 Bond equals roughly 10 USD. As previously mentioned, Bonds can be converted to the in-game currency. This isn't the only purpose, as Bonds can also be spent on power enhancing equipment. When you die in the game, you leave behind all loot your are currently carrying. Cases can be purchased for 500 or 1000 Bond each in order to safe-guard items in your inventory, making sure you keep them as you die. The purchase of these cases is on a 30-day basis, requiring you to re-purchase them when the period is over. Additionally the game offers a bundle that is also limited by a 30-day period, as such this can be seen as a subscription. This bundle unlocks additional storage space, more market place listings, and a cosmetic label indicating you own the bundle. These unlocks grant you additional power in the form of convenience that will put you ahead of those who do not choose to purchase the bundle.

While none of the purchasable items grant direct you power that can not be gained through in-game means, they do put you on an advantage. Instead of having to grind for more items, you can simply bypass that grind with real money purchases.

The game is currently in early-access and the developers have stated to look into their monetization.
